この規格は，ボルト・ナットの組合せによるねじ締付けに対する特性値（以下，締付特性値という。）を求めるた めの試験方法について規定する。この規格で対象とする締付特性値は，トルク係数，総合摩擦係数，ねじ面摩 擦係数，座面摩擦係数，降伏締付軸力，降伏締付トルク，及び極限（最大）締付軸力とする。

This standard specifies the method of test for obtaining characteristic values for tightening (hereinafter referred to as "tightening characteristic value") by the combination of bolts and nuts. This standard covers the tightening characteristic values ; torque coefficient, coefficient of total friction, coefficient of friction between threads, coefficient of friction between bearing surfaces, yield clamping force, yield tightening torque and ultimate (max.) clamping force.
